This track embodies the rhythm of untamed nature. And at the same time reveals the sacred symmetry that makes the forest vibrate in unison. A natural buildup, from bottom to top, from small fern to mighty oak unites the structure of this work with that of the forests. At the beginning soft shakers, light as fog. They join the first drums, the sounds of the smallest inhabitants of this biotope, and wind up through the lower layers, towards the light. This is where the treble comes into play, like rays of sunlight wafting through the canopy. At first diffuse, barely perceptible. But the wilderness is strong and shows its power, through strong elements, unexpected breaks. And the irrepressible power inherent in creation. Forest Shaker is mystical, in its own natural way. Forest Shaker makes us dream of untouched habitat and grounds us with this fantasy. Marc Werners version starts off a bit crisper. He picks out the main elements and combines them in a raw, unvarnished way. The incoming vocal is barely intelligible, distorted as if through an ancient radio speaker - perhaps a stranded man's attempt to share his perception via shortwave? Sirens waft along into the field, heightening the tension and dissipating again in the drop. Forest Shaker tells a different story here with more movement. He moves forward more, promising an adventure that few have embarked on before. And thus arouses our curiosity. The body is attracted to this liveliness and is moved to the dance floor by this irrepressible power. Ready to lose yourself in hours of rhythms and become one with the world.
